Miller in 1887; together they had five children who lived to adulthood. The Millers acquired large amounts of land that Eliza took an active role in managing. Mr. and Mrs. Miller both served as trustees for Arkansas Baptist College in Pulaski County Arkansas, which Mrs. Miller continued to support after her husband's death in 1913. Miller purchased land from the Sacred Heart Academy Sisters in Helena, which she donated to the Helena school board for an African American high school. Dedicated in 1926, the high school was named after her, Eliza Miller High School.
